Leadership

Governance Structure

Our congregation is governed by its voting members, constitution and bylaws. Voters’ meetings are held four times a year on the second Monday of February, May, September and November. Special Voters’ meetings may be called by providing the congregation with a least two-week advance notice. Below are links to our current governing documents.

All congregation communicant members (18 years and older) are eligible to become voting members. A member becomes eligible to vote once they have attended two prior meetings and have signed the Voter Registry Book. Per our current bylaws, only those attending in person can register/cast a vote.

There are seven members of the Church Council, elected by the Voters’ Assembly in November of each year. Members are elected to a three-year term and are eligible to serve two consecutive terms. The purpose of the Council is to provide leadership and guidance to assure that the delivery of ministry is fulfilled to achieve our congregation’s mission. Council’s responsibilities are outlined in the constitution and bylaws. Council functions according to the Council Policy Manual, which is regularly updated.
